Born and raised in South Carolina by two loving parents I've been blessed to say the least to have an opportunity to share my passion with the world. Art has impacted my life in a number of ways from fashion, to design, to music and film. I have been a part of choirs, orchestras and plays my entire life. So art to me, is the driving force of creativity in the world. And fashion to me is art. Its an expression of your hubris through fabric. I've always used myself as a canvas to paint new pictures with clothes.
There are plenty tiers of fashion that excite me, from street wear to formal attire and everything in between. I enjoy trying new brands and trends and piecing them together in new ways, sometimes to make a statement and other times just to be different. This blog is a depiction of what fashion, art, and culture looks like from my perspective.
Hierarchy of man
Hierarchy speaks towards the levels of authority and the way that people fall in line with that authority. It ranks the way that we value and manages the amount of respect given. Fashion speaks to highly to this hierarchy. We tend to respect those who dress nicely because it is a symbol of authority. Kings wore gold and expensive metals that spoke towards their hierarchy of man. I think today the value of your clothing speaks much less than the way that you wear it. While having the capacity to purchase something means that you have the ability to be a well respected figure, it doesn't mean you are truly a king. I by no means am a wealthy man, in the sense of having an abundance of valuable possessions. I am wealthy in terms of health, love, prosperity, and faith. I believe that the way one dresses can change the narrative of what others see in you. I believe that we all have the ability to write our own personal biographies by the way that we carry ourselves. There are tiers in all aspects of life, but appearance is such an important one. Hierarchy of Man is about the recognition of life from the perspective of being at the top of your rank, and never less.
"I am in love with the idea of being the greatest person that I can possibly be, while inspiring others to do the same. I've always wanted to truly do something that gives me peace. This is my peace."
