Souf Cak
South Carolina (SOUF CAK) is home to a great deal of beauty, from its geography to its deep history. Beyond the pessimistic narrative of the south we thrive because of our entrepreneurial spirit to be greater than our surroundings. The state over the past 8 years has begun to realize a rather large economic upturn, which meant good news for us. Large companies such as Boeing, GE, BMW, Amazon and others made SC home, which increased jobs. Universities have been recruiting great talent, bringing in a number of well educated individuals right here. Not to mention this 2016-17 year alone we have had two universities that have won national championships; Clemson University in football and Coastal Carolina in baseball. And we have a chance to potentially win a third title with The University of South Carolina's men and women's' basketball teams heading into the Final Four this weekend. One could argue that the state started doing a whole lot better when that confederate flag came down.*inserts thinking face emoji*. It's amazing the things you can do when you eliminate symbols of hate.

A number of youth in the state have begun to reinvent the idea of art, culture, and history by creating products, music and events that speak to our experiences as youth in today's world. I've always wanted to create a way to showcase these upcoming brands, so this post and the additional posts to come will be about these brands, their ideals, and how you can get a taste of something new.

I love to represent the home team wherever I go and these pieces always allow me to incorporate my roots while also turning heads.South Carolina weather in the Spring is like Orlando Brown post That's So Raven, completely and utterly unpredictable. Windbreakers are perfect for the Spring and early Summer because they're lightweight, water repellant, and as the name implies, breaks wind. Spring showers tend to drop out of the sky with reckless abandon this time of the year and unless you want to carry around a giant umbrella everywhere you go a good windbreaker might help. Forever Indulge
This is one of my favorite windbreakers in my collection of outerwear. Unfortunately for you all this product can't be purchased anymore, they sold out. I'm sorry. Forever Indulge is a brand that one of my fraternity brothers cofounded. Forever Indulge Studios thrives in creative spaces and are in the works to create even more products. So even though this jacket might be out of reach just stay tuned, they have some more heat cooking!
The weather was crazy this day, wild winds and also cloudy skies. Luckily I checked before we got on the road so I was prepared for the schizophrenia that lied ahead and decided layering would be my best option to avoid being miserable. I layered my upper body with a longline long sleeve t-shirt, a denim H&M shirt and my Forever Indulge windbreaker. All of them are pretty thin and lightweight, so even though I had on a lot of clothes I wasn't worried about overheating. I added a pair of distressed bootcut jeans from GAP and put on my Cayler and Sons Hibachi Boots.
ODE CLOTHING
Shop Ode, created by Pierre Nelson, is a clothing brand that specializes in street wear and is probably one of the most notarized SC street wear brands to date. ODE speaks to our culture as millennials as their products truly match our style. ODE tends to use loud and bold color schemes followed by intricate patterns and details all meant to speak to our youthful souls. ODE clothing can be spotted on a number of artists including The Game, Chevy Woods and Maejor.
I was going to a tailgate this day so I put this ODE jacket on over a long sleeve muscle t shirt and paired it with some H&M skinny chinos, my Concord Air Jordan 11's and of course a Clemson Tigers hat to show love to the squad!
